The OCARC can report that the gopher population of the base, where we held FD, is very healthy (and it seems to grow larger every year).

These gopher holes sure make pounding in guy wire stakes easy!!??!!

Field Day is over for 2008. Now the hard work begins again to tear down the towers and antennas. Here the 40M Phone tower with the 2-element invertd-Vee beam is being lowered under the direction of Larry-K6YUI (far left).

2008 Field Day operation is over and the Sunday tear down is mostly completed.  Here's the huge great crew who stayed to the end to make tear-down easy:
