The OCARC can report that the gopher population of the base, where we held FD, is very healthy (and it seems to grow larger every year).

These gopher holes sure make pounding in guy wire stakes easy!!??!!

Saturday evening dinner break during the middle of Field Day operations. Operators took turns chowing down the tacos and burritos.

Field Day is over for 2008. Now the hard work begins again to tear down the towers and antennas. Here the 40M Phone tower with the 2-element invertd-Vee beam is being lowered under the direction of Larry-K6YUI (far left).
