W6ZE/KE6YHX beat IXN to the mike thus becoming NC tonite…Tnx, Corey! YHX checked in WØMEC, KM6IZO, KJ6OML, WB6IXN, K6PAD, W6JTT, and WB9YCJ. MEC had gud sigs on the ‘Slim Jim’ ant tonite, and IZO, operating on an older rig tonite, had slight hum on his sigs. OML said the Triumvirate, OML, AF6C, and DLA, serviced 16 Talking Book Machines at Braille Institute today. IXN’s eye is doing well, and, PAD, using 20W, had gud sigs. All OPs had gud sigs tonite. JTT was using the discone antenna, and YCJ checked into Net from Dodger Stadium on the HT. YCJ might miss Field Day, and stadium officials expressed concern that YCJ’s HT might interfere wid stadium communications…No problems experienced! TNX fer NC duties Corey!

HHC has been busy helping GP wid the Newsletter, and Ken said that the City of Orange did well in Baker-to-Vegas Run. HHC now continues his work wid Digital TV. OML reported an off-week for Braille Institute, and JTT cudn’t pull NC out of the QRN. However, Sam has replaced ageing RG-8 lead-in wid high grade coax cable. IZO and JTT doubled at one point, and YHX reported scratchy sigs from Vijay. MEC, using 9W tonite on the 10m dipole, gave JTT and NC sig reports. Jack, PKA, got a new rig and checked in wid 5/9 sigs at IXN’s QTH.

IZO, sporting a new HT, checked in wid 5/9 sigs at NC. And PKA put up a new Diamond ant. at the QTH which is doing a gud job! MAO gave the WX report for Rialto and Mike mentioned EQ activity in Japan. YHX reported 4 bars out of 7 for Vijay tonite, and Corey now has the FD rig ready. IXN reported an near earth asteroid flyby on April 19, and JTT said his son helped him replace the ailing coax wid high grade coax.
W6ZE/KE6YHX checked in WØMEC, KB6PAD, KJ6JKA, K6PKA, and KJ6OML. IXN did not hear Vijay checkin, and NC, wid loud transmit sigs, cud not hear most checkins tonite. YHX mentioned Club meeting Friday night, and Corey, unable to hear most checkins, shut Net down early.
YHX got IXN’s list of checkins for 10m, and, W6ZE/WB6IXN checked in ???, KE6YHX, W6JTT, WØMEC, KJ6OML, K6PKA, K6PAD, KM6FBE, K6AJV, W6MAO, AF6N, N6YMK, and K6TRC, for the 2m Net. YHX was experiencing a 5/9 noise level on 10m tonite, and IXN gave his 19m checkin list to Corey. JTT is fighting an air-born infection wid antibiotics, and Sam is still planning on replacing old lead-in wid high grade coax. MEC also fell victim to QRN & weak sigs on 10m, but IXN was heaing Clem 5/7 on 10m tonite. OML said the Triumvirate, AFF6C, OML, and DLA, will resume machine repairs at Braille after Easter vacation. And PKA’s new rig and antenna are doing FB wid 5/9 sigs tonite. PAD ‘flew in and flew out’, and FBE will think abt joining the Club if the 2m Net moves to a Repeater. Bryan’s new antenna radiated 5/9 sigs at NC…K6AJY lives near Angel Stadium in Anaheim. IXN cudn’t hear Jim on the HT tonite, but YHX relayed Jim’s sigs to NC, and Charles, N6YMK, home from work, lives on Irvine Center Drive. K6TRC checked into Net on ECHOLINK, having just got home from a Board meeting!

YHX reported an errant power supply causing QRN at the QTH and IXN heard MEC 5/7 tonite, and HHC reported the call sign KM6JWU, for the Boy Scout station at Field Day…And Ken said they are working on getting Kei Yamachika’s old call, W6NGO, permanently assigned for the Boy Scout station in the future, and Ken said there is a new DATV project out of England. IZO cudn’t copy YHX tonite…Corey was fading in and out in the QRN…HHC acted as a relay for YHX. MEC cud hear NC tonite, but not IXN.

YHX busies himself wid debugging and data issues, and MEC was using the dipole ant. on 10m tonite, and using 2.5 watts on 2m. IXN was copying all OPs 5/9. PAD cudn’t hear IZR. IZR, on the HT, lit up all bars at NC in Santa Ana, and ATB monitors meteor scatter mornings around 7 am. IXN reads IZO 5/9 at the QTH, also IRZ, Rodger. MAO has 10% humidity tonite, and Mike expect mild to strong winds for Rialto. TRC & PAL check in on ECHOLINK, and IXN still has trouble leaving a small pause for ECHOLINK checkins!
