W6ZE/AF6C checked in W6HHC, W6JTT, N6TMT, K7JA, WB6IXN, 3D2KM(Dave, in Fiji), KJ6OML, KE6YHX, and KG6UG. IXN announces WA6RND, John, wishes to get rid of a 40 ft. crank-up, tubular tower plus other ham gear, and HHC and OPs gave Field Day operations a great big plus sign! HHC announced over 5400 QSOs had been made!...Get your JPEG photos of FD operations to Ken as soon as possible! TOO BAD IF YOU MISSED Net tonite!...OPs welcomed Dave, 3D2KM, in Fiji, to the Net!...We occasionally do get some gud DX on 10m! Sam. JTT, will be off on a trip to Europe to explore the Danube, and OPs K7JA copied Dave FB…We thank Chip for his help wid the boy scouts and FD! TMT, Tim, checked in wid gud sigs and he enjoyed FD at the Club site. UG has some ideas for organization of Field Day, and June enjoyed the Event. OML ‘flew in and flew out’…Gene got called away momentarily. And AF6C reported the Triuvirate AF6C, DLA, and OML, again appeared at Braille Institute to charge & service Talking Book Machines…Tnx, guys! YHX was quite comfy wid his tent and camping gear at the FD site… Corey help work the PSK-31 station. THE CLUB THANKS ALL OPs who participated wid setup, station operation, and teardown, at Field Day!

W6ZE/WB6IXN checked in W6JTT, KJ6OML, W6HHC, AF6C, KG6UG, and KE6YHX. JTT cudn’t get to FD but he checked in to give us points. OML & UG were very tired after helping at FD from beginning to end!...June also helped out at the Guest Table, setup & teardown, and license testing. HHC gave some FD scores, and Ken asked OPs to get their JPEG pix of FD to him as soon as possible! AF6C was at the FD site all day Friday, and on Sat. from 9:00am to 7:00pm. WE THANK ALL OPs WHO WORKED SO HARD TO MAKE THIS A VERY SUCCESSFUL FIELD DAY!! YHX, tired after FD, looks forward to fireworks on the 4th!

W6ZE/AF6C checked in WB6IXN, KJ6OML, KE6YHX, KG6UG, W6ATV, W6HK, and W6JTT. IXN tells OPs that his retaining wall on Bishop St. is deteriorating…Now for a new wall! OML doesn’t read email, reports to Braille Institute, and services errant Talking Books they didn’t know they had!...Tnx, Gene! Poof!...So much for a TV converter box for the TV said YHX! And AF6C inherits a cache of ham gear from a SK!...Contact Bob for details!...Bob also reported coyotes in the neighborhood! UG has some comments for Field Day and IXN tells UG that high heat is taking a toll on the flowerbeds. ATV gave a short FD rundown on the digital, 40m & 15m Field Day operations, and ATV & OPs all enjoyed Field Day this year! HK, Ken, was down in the QRN at IXN’s QTH, but Ken took note of ham gear stored at AF6C’s QTH. JTT was on the horizontal ant. and was down in the QRN at IXN’s QTH, and Sam will soon be off to a European vacation.

W6ZE/WB6IXN checked in W6JTT, AG6UG, KJ6OML, KE6YHX, AF6C, KK6FYG, and KG6OXD. JTT will soon be off for a trip on the Danube in Europe. AF6C was happy that OML didn’t read his email & serviced the Talking Book machines at Braille Institute. And, AF6C has a cache of SK ham gear at the shack!...If interested, give Bob a call! UG & IXN discussed dry conditions on the flowers, and June is doing a better job of keeping her roses alive than IXN! FYG felt the small Big Bear EQ but IXN and YHX didn’t feel any jolts. OXD helped out OPs at Field Day, and we thank all OPs who helped wid setup and tear-down at FD!! OXD will be installing ham gear in his new motor home, and, he will be traveling around wid members of the Elks Club who also have motor homes.

W6ZE/AF6C checked in AG6UG, KJ6OML, N6HC, KE6YHX, WB6IXN, W6HHC, and W6ATB. AF6C and OPs discussed setup, teardown, and cleanup at the Field Day site. IXN cudn’t hear UG too well tonite, but OML reported 19 Talking Book machines serviced at Braille Institute today by OML, AF6C, and DLA!...Tnx, guys! AF6C and HC discussed CW OP Field Day setup and teardown and Arnie referred AF6C to Bob Harrington. And Arnie tnxed HHC for the nice collage of Field Day pictures. YHX is working on a TV cable, and we thank Corey for picking up trash in the parking lot at the FD site! HC & IXN have never paid for cable or satellite TV…We do just fine wid TV sigs transmitted over the air, getting most programs you pay for on commercial TV services! HHC is entertaining relatives from Virginia, and they are off to the Orange County Fair to take in livestock exhibits. And HHC is ready for the September presentation on DATV. ATB is reorganizing the ham shack and just got back frome a walk downtown wid the baby, and Greg told OPs he crossed the Atlantic 8 times on a destroyer!

YHX picks up a ITV 250 and a TV digitizer, and UG & OML look forward to an anniversary trip in Dec. The Triumvirate, AF6C, OML, and DLA serviced 19 machines at Braille Institute, and DNR ‘flew in and flew out’. SEW checked in wid gud sigs from Tustin reporting on a new mobile rig and power supply, and will soon be on a trip back to VA, Liberty Bell, and East Coast. IXN prepares to get a new retaining wall at the QTH.

W6ZE/AF6C che3cked in W6ATB, KJ6OML, W6HHC, W6HC, WB6ISN, W6JTT, and AE6UG. AF6C has been busy listing hamgear for sale on the website and is now eating a artichoke for pre-dindin, and ATB, busy wid the business, managed to redo the hamshack. Greg is also working on a spark transmitter! AF6C, OML, and DLA await the Braille Institute ‘bigwig’ arrival from the East Coast for a Friday meeting, and HHC’s company from back East left for home around 8:00am this morning. Ken also said his grandson’s ribbon-winning pig at the Orange County Fair has been sold, but not at much of a profit! HC told OPs that the heart of the artichoke is best, and Arnie missed the ham radio booth at the OC Fair. Also HC and GP attended a meeting of the Pasadena Radio Club. IXN read a short article on gravitational lensing of distant galaxies. JTT, wid horizontal polarization, was weak at IXN’s QTH, but Sam has returned from his trip to Europe and Danube River trip. And UG has been cooling off in the pool during this hot spell!

JTT said he switches back & forth between vertical and horizontal antennas depending on reception, and, Sam said he saw many dipole antennas on his Danube river trip! And Sam said the cobblestone streets cut through his soft shoes! AF6C tries out different rigs on the air that he has for sale…This 2m rig is operating FB wid 5/9 sigs!...Wid the artichoke ‘down the hatch’, Bob is ready fer a late dindin! OML, AF6C, and DLA didn’t go to repair Talking Books at Braille Institute today…They have a meeting with a ‘Big Wig’ come Friday! FYG, now mobile, told IXN that all was quiet seismically in Rialto.

W6ZE/AF6C checked in KE6YHX, WB6IXN, WN6RK(Rowland), KJ6OML, AG6UG, W6HHC, and W6JTT. AF6C and OPs have not enjoyed the hot, and muggy WX the past two days, and, DLA, AF6C, KJ6OML, and AG6UG all attended the Braille Institute meeting last week to hear a Braille ‘Big Wig’ from Washington, D.C. Tnen AF6C announced that a large cache of working ham gear is listed on the website FOR SALE!...Check it out! YHX, working on a cable computer program, gave all OPs their sig reports. And RK hasn’t worked DX yet on his new YAESU rig wid a ChrisCraft Antenna. OML said 13 new Talking Books and 7 old ones were serviced at Braille Institute today, and, IXN told UG that the wall contractor trampled all his roses. HHC included 52 pix in the Field Day Collage up on the website, has a doctor appt. tomorrow, and plans a trip up the Elba River in the near future. IXN hopes to hear JTT stronger when Bob gets a new antenna, and Sam’s 10m dipole is working well.

YHX involves himself wid APRS, and AF6C has a bunch of ham gear for sale from an OP sho is now in a health facility…Bob is talking on a ‘for sale’ rig tonite! JTT has best reception on the 10m horizontal dipole, and, YCJ checked in from Chavez Ravine 100 ft. up in the bleachers while watching a 1st place Dodgers game wid Atlanta…GO DODGERS!! OML told ‘Big Wig’ from Braille Institute in Washington that a battery analyzer would be most welcome in the Anaheim Talking Book Repair Center! UG told IXN to cut back his bruised rose bushes, water and feed them, and see if the bushes revive!
