Bob said he’d look fer the plans arnd the shack.  Wid a high SWR, BWH’s rig gave up the ghost during last week’s Newsline…Bob suspects a faulty switch, or an antenna problem. BWH used low power tonite, and we all heard Newsline # 1272 well…A poll, taken among hams, found that the majority no longer want the Novice Class license!  IXN checked in near Net’s end, and didn’t hear remarks frm earlier OP check-ins.  Bob was in Garner Valley and VKZ-land in Anza, where he and Lee spent New years wid the niece & husband.    BWH may miss Club Bfast on Saturday, Bob has an OCARO meeting wid Joe Brown (SCM) and OPs in Riverside.

The next day, IXN talked wid his friend, Mike Petruska, frm Zelionople, abt Fombell, etc…And HHC, not much has changed there according to Mike!  LEX said that OPs shud check out the ailing 20m ant. for proper grounding, or counterpoise.  CCD got lucky and won himself a new radio, a YAESU FT-2600, at the CLARA meeting.  The new rig can be computer programmed. AF6C told OPs abt anchor bolts that backed out of the ant. rotator, allowing rotator and ant. to turn together.  This broke loose a wire, and scraped other wires, which all had to be repaired.   BWH checked into Net on the way home on an HT.   IXN was unable to hear the HT sigs, but frm the 3 bars that lit up when IXN asked if it was BWH, ZE knew Bob was checking in.   Net closing was held over until Bob got home and aired Newsline # 1275.
